Prompt Engineering for AI Applications in Industrial Documentation: A Case Study on Designing an LLM-driven Chatbot for Automobile User Manuals - The integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into industrial documentation presents transformative opportunities for enhancing user interaction and accessibility. This paper presents a case study on prompt engineering strategies used to develop an LLM-driven chatbot designed to assist users in navigating and understanding automobile user manuals. The study explores how structured prompt design, contextual embedding, and domain-specific fine-tuning improve response accuracy and relevance in technical support scenarios. Key challenges addressed include handling ambiguous queries, maintaining safety-critical information integrity, and optimizing performance for multilingual users. The findings demonstrate the potential of LLM-based systems to streamline user engagement with complex documentation and highlight best practices for prompt engineering in industrial AI applications.
